Overview
The Upper Eden Foodbank has been running since 2013. It has representatives from both Methodists and Anglicans on the Management Committee. The foodbank supplies food parcels to needy individuals and families within the Kirkby Stephen, Appleby and Tebay areas, extending to Penrith.

Additional Information
The foodbank continues to receive referrals from welfare organisations, ranging from health services, housing providers, social services and the Citizens Advice Bureau amongst others. The situation re the Covid Virus obviously caused financial problems for many people and during the school closures The Food Bank had a scheme to help those with children at home and not being able to have their usual school meals.
