Additional Information

Creative Support is a not-for-profit organisation that has been providing person-centered services since 1991, helping individuals lead fulfilling lives and reach their full potential. Since 2010, we have been running 13 services in Liverpool, each tailored to meet the unique support needs of individuals through individualized and person-centered approaches that deliver meaningful outcomes.

Our offerings in Liverpool include supported living services at various support levels, homeless prevention floating support, and a welcoming café on London Road, providing a safe space for those with mental health and learning disability needs.

One of our essential services, "The Liverpool Light," is designed to provide preventive crisis support to clients with mental health needs. With around 29% of people in Liverpool experiencing long-term depression, mental health issues, learning difficulties, or nervous disorders, our service aims to support over 140,000 individuals in the region. Operating from 6 pm to 1 am, 7 days a week, The Liverpool Light is an out-of-hours mental health crisis service, providing a safe and secure environment for people undergoing mental health crises to begin their recovery journey.

By offering specialized support outside of GP and day service hours, we aim to reduce potential hospital admissions and focus on de-escalation, intervention, and prevention. The service also acts as a valuable alternative to A&E departments, providing a suitable place for individuals to seek support and recuperation during a crisis.

Our site, situated on London Road, in the heart of the city and close to RLUH and local police stations, features essential facilities, including confidential spaces for consultations, a fully functioning IT suite, a secure database, disability access, CCTV, and a fully equipped kitchen. Our well-trained staff, with a flexible approach, are committed to providing a safe and supportive environment. Moreover, we work in partnership with other organizations to offer referrals for additional support, such as debt advice, homelessness prevention, benefits and welfare advice, domestic violence refuge, refugee support services, and substance misuse services.

At Creative Support, we are dedicated to fostering a safe, caring, and inclusive environment, enabling individuals to find the support they need to overcome challenges and thrive in life.
