Overview
At Lancashire Women, we offer a free, trauma‑informed Money Advice service that supports women across Lancashire with benefit applications, mandatory reconsiderations, appeals, debt work (including Breathing Space), rent and council tax arrears, and practical budgeting support.
We also run a brand-new “Money Matters” programme for 16–25 year olds – 2 x 2.5 hour sessions run over two‑weeks as workshops using a serious-game approach to help young people build confidence around money, life costs and financial decision-making.
Alongside this, our Energy Saving Home Visits provide in‑home advice and the fitting of small energy‑saving measures, and where needed, we leave helpful items such as heated blankets to support comfort and reduce bills.
