Additional Information
We can conduct a home assessment and provide immediate assistance that includes:
- Installing various simple measures (radiator panels, LED light bulbs, draught-proofing for doors, windows, and letterboxes, cylinder jackets, pipe lagging, chimney balloons, and TV standby savers)
- Offering energy efficiency advice and training on heating control usage
- Coordinating the installation of a new heating controller when necessary
- Identifying larger energy efficiency enhancements for the property and seeking funding opportunities
- Assisting with energy supplier switches
- Determining if the resident desires income maximisation advice and making referrals to the relevant agency
- Recognising other hazards and vulnerabilities in the home and referring to the appropriate agency.
Eligibility Criteria
Individuals receiving any of the following:
- Income-related Employment and Support Allowance
- Contribution-based Employment and Support Allowance
- Income-based Jobseeker’s Allowance
- Income Support
- Pension Guarantee Credit
- Pension Savings Credit
- Child Tax Credit / Working Tax Credit
- Universal Credit
- Housing Benefit
- Council Tax Reductions
- A Disability Benefit (Incl. Attendance Allowance, Carer’s Allowance DLA, PIP, Severe Disablement Allowance)
- Industrial Injuries Disablement Benefit
Or:
- having a total annual household income less than £31,000
