Bond Guarantees

We offer a range of financial support including our Bond guarantees: Get housed in a private rented tenancy with help from a Bond Guarantee, without having your own money up front for a bond. Get a head start and support to look for accommodation - knowing which landlords and Letting Agents accept people claiming benefits and which properties are available.

Get support from us when you sign your tenancy. We will be there to support you and to check the landlord has all the correct paperwork and is doing everything legally. You can apply for a Bond Guarantee if you are homeless or due to become homeless and on benefits or a low income and have a local connection to Rochdale/Bolton. A local connection includes living and being settled in the area for at least 6 months, or 3 years out of the last 5, working in the area or having close family members in the area of Rochdale or Bolton.

The Bond Board is a registered charity that exists to reduce homelessness by getting people on low incomes into private rented accommodation.

We provide Bond Guarantees for tenancies which take the place of cash deposits and provide security for landlords. Additionally, we offer a range of support services for tenants and landlords designed to make a tenancy more manageable and sustainable for everyone.

We have been operating in Rochdale and Bolton since 1993. Increasingly, we are joining initiatives across Greater Manchester.

We’d like everyone to have a place to call home and we have helped thousands of people into secure rented accommodation since we were founded in 1993.

We take a holistic view, getting homeless households into sustainable tenancies and supporting landlords and tenants to keep those tenancies stable. We have a number of services for landlords to encourage them to rent to people in need and we provide education and skills programmes to help tenants avoid homelessness in future.
